The Focus is on Prayer in 2E
Miss. Eleniak's Grade Two students carved their classroom pumpkin alongside the pumpkin prayer.
After the pumpkin was carved, each student said a prayer, and the jack o' lantern was placed on our prayer table. Each part of the jack o'lantern is connected to our faith in the prayer:
"Lord open my mind and fill me with your wisdom,
Lord take out my sins and fill me with your love
Lord open my eyes to see your glory
Lord let my life be a sweet aroma to you
Lord help me to speak your words of truth and love,
Lord fill me with your light to shine for all to see"
The students had so much fun growing in their faith as a classroom family.
